Comfort & Tradition

Hotel Haldenhof

In Oktober 1968 a dream became true – Hubert & Isolde Schwärzler did lay the foundation stone of Haldenhof. The Pelican in our coat of arms stands as symbol for hospitality, saftety and care.

Running a hotel is a vocation. This is because our work, service to the guest and taking the best possible care of them, is our passion. And this also makes itself felt.

The 3rd generation takes already position at the Haldenhof and we are looking forward into another 50 years hosting friends and guest!

Sincerely yours – Family Schwärzler & Team

First works October 1968

Getting the offical permission for building a little B&B called Haldenhof made a dream become true for a young couple called Hubert and Isolde Schwärzler. This fall construction works did start and the corner stone was laid. In August 1969 they already could celebrate the topping out ceremony.

Topping out ceremony Summer 1969

Willi, Gebhard und Johann Schneider took over construction managment for their little sister. Isolde and her mother have been taking care of the workers – they have been cooking for them day by day in the kitchen of Hotel Arlberg. Hubert at this time already was head of the touris office (at this time still called “Verkehrsamt” of course spreading out the news about Haldenhof into the world.

The carpenters still were busy installing the beds while the first guest did arrive. So Isolde took care about them serving drinks and little snacks in front of the open fire place (which is still to be found in the lobby). The traditional Haldenhof welcome party on Sunday was born.
